Wander is a mobile travel app designed to help users discover and book dream destinations worldwide. The app features a clean, minimalist interface with intuitive navigation and smooth transitions between screens.
Role: UX Designer
Tools: Figma
Duration: 1 Week
Project Overview:
Wander is a travel app designed to inspire users to explore dream destinations worldwide. The app allows users to seamlessly browse popular places, view detailed destination information, and make bookings—all within a simple, user-friendly interface.
This project focuses on the core screens and interactions that guide users through an intuitive flow from exploration to booking.
1. Splash Screen
The first screen users see is the Wander splash screen, designed with a gradient background and the Wander logo.
Tagline: "Find your dream destination with us."
After a brief animation, the app automatically transitions to the Home screen.
2. Home Screen
Key Elements:
Search bar for finding places globally.
A personalized greeting for the user.
Popular places displayed as cards in a horizontal carousel, categorized by "Most Viewed," "Nearby," and "Latest."
User Flow: Users can swipe horizontally to browse destinations.
3. Destination Details Screen
After selecting a destination (e.g., Dhaka Lake, Gazaria), the user is directed to the destination details page.
Features:
Information on the place (location, duration, climate).
A prominent "Book Now" button allows immediate booking action.
Additional details such as reviews, ratings, and price are displayed to help users make an informed decision.
4. Prototype Interaction Flow
Transition: Automatic movement from the splash screen to the home screen.
Scrolling and Selection: Users can scroll horizontally to view popular destinations. Selecting a destination takes the user to the details page.
Back Navigation: A simple back arrow brings the user back to the Home screen.
Key Features:
Effortless Browsing: The horizontal slider on the home screen makes it easy to browse various destinations.
Personalized Experience: The home screen greets users by name and showcases popular places tailored to their preferences.
Quick Action: The "Book Now" button on the destination page ensures swift action for users ready to book.
Challenges and Solutions:
Challenge: Balancing a minimalist interface while ensuring enough information is provided for users to make a confident booking decision.
Solution: I focused on essential details (duration, weather, reviews) and emphasized the "Book Now" button to make the interface action-oriented without overwhelming users.
Final Thoughts:
Wander is designed to inspire and streamline the travel booking experience, allowing users to discover their next adventure with ease. Through this project, I focused on creating smooth, intuitive navigation and delivering a visually appealing, user-centric interface.
